![]() I myself practiced by setting each course to 1 lap so I could learn to effectively take corners, and it helped a great deal too. There’s a very nice selection of options available so you can use this mode to practice. Quick race works like any other racing game allowing you to choose various parameters such as bike type, weather, track, location, and many other options to race at any time. We’ll get into more of what career mode is all about shortly. Career mode is the main game mode and it takes you through your TT Isle of Man career as you start as a rookie and work your way through the ranks in order to take part in the TT Main event. The tutorial is loaded at the start of the game to go through the basics of the game but it can be reloaded at any time in the single-player area. In single-player, you can choose from career mode, quick race, time trial, free roam and the tutorial. TT Isle of Man 2 features quite a few game modes to choose from. I also thoroughly enjoyed the free-roam because it allowed me to get used to the controls a bit more, take my time and do some fun mini-challenges.One of the time trial events that you can take part in. You feel like you could crash to your untimely death at any second. TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 2 is exciting and fun to play because the game offers players a bit of a rush through the high speeds it allows you to reach. The customization options for the bikes offer a variety of choice. With all of that being said, the game does have some great features. The gameplay is over-complicated and feels jittery and clunky. You are given all of the right tools during the tutorial but not really shown how to use them properly. ![]() The game is quite difficult to play because of the complicated control system that isn’t presented well during the tutorial. TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 2 definitely has a few issues. I assumed that in order to compete with other racing titles, like Forza and DiRT Rally, the graphics would have been more of a focus for the developers. While actively playing the game, the graphics are shockingly poor. The opening cutscene and some in-game cutscenes are great, but that is not the case during actual gameplay. The whole game and the races actually feel like this.Īnother issue with TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 2 has to do with the graphics. The issue is that when you are changing gears, it doesn’t feel like a fluid motion. I understand that they have tried to allow for gears that you have to change to increase and decrease speed. I think the reason that this is the case is because of how over-complicated it is to control the bikes. Gameplay ComplicationsĪs I have mentioned, there are a few issues with the tutorial not being the best for teaching you how to play the game. After you choose your first bike, you can obtain more through a garage. I found it quite difficult to decide which bike to choose because each one had its own strong points. There are so many different bikes and customization options through choosing bike parts and colours. This part of the game is very true to reality. ![]() As a result of this, the game is quite exciting to play.Īnother great thing about the game is the choice of bikes. Because of the speed and adrenaline that the game offers, it makes you feel like you could crash your bike to its doom at any moment. The great thing about TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 2 is how you feel like you are constantly on edge. When you learn the right buttons to use, you don’t really get much of an opportunity to put them into practice until you are thrown into a race. Because the text is so small and because they aren’t presented very well, it makes it even harder to take in the information. In the tutorial, there are boxes telling you which buttons to use, but this text is half the size of the actual boxes in which they’re presented. The tutorial presents you with tools to play but doesn’t show you how to use them properly. When you begin to enter into races, you feel a bit unprepared because the tutorial isn’t very detailed. The tutorial is quite simple and easy to get through however, it does not quite prepare you for the real thing. Motorcycle MovementĪs I have mentioned, when you first play TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 2, you go through a short tutorial. There are small challenges you can undertake whilst enjoying a relaxing motorcycle ride. There is also a mode where you can explore and test your skills in free-roam. This is where you can test your motorcycle skills against others. You can choose to play the multiplayer mode online or offline. Each race and each month gets you closer to winning the tournament and taking home a well-earned trophy. You go through one race at a time as you go through each month of a year. The story mode for the game is a tournament of races set out in a calendar.
